BOW RIDGE LITTLE LEAGUE





Bow Ridge is one of 17 leagues within Calgary and plays within Alberta Little League District No. 3. It offers baseball to boys and girls between the ages of 5 to 18. In addition to this, Bow Ridge offers programs for ages 19 to 21 (Junior AA - ABA if there are sufficient registrations).

Little League Baseball in Calgary is not governed by community boundaries and as such has no affiliations with community associations. Effect is made to work in harmony with the various community associations. The communities within the Bow Ridge boundaries include:



The age of a player as of April 30th is their "official" league age for Little League. Player evaluations are conducted in early April to allow players the opportunity to be placed on a team appropriate and safe for their age and ability. Our goal is to have all players enjoy baseball by playing at a level that will increase their interest and improve their skills.

At the end of regular season play, Bow Ridge selects All Star teams for each of the following age groups: 10 year old (AAA), 11 and 12 year old (AA), 11 and 12 year old (A), 13 and 14 year old (Junior) and 15 and 16 year old (Senior). Players aged 17 and 18 year old try out for the District 3 Big League Team.

After league playoffs, these teams will play in various postseason tournaments and championships throughout the month of July and usually into the first week of August. Winners of the championships go on to play at a provincial or prairie level and possibly a National and International Level.



2008 REGISTRATION

Initital registration for the 2008 season will take place on February 9, 2008 at the Crowchild Twin Arena between 10am and 2pm. Registration may be mailed in by downloading the registration and medical release forms and mailing the completed forms as well as two cheques (registration and uniform deposit)in to:
